Our culture insists: DO. ASSERT. Move fast. Stay visible.
But real transformation does not work that way. Seeds do not sprout in harsh light. Root systems develop underground, in darkness and stillness. What looks like "nothing happening" from the outside is actually incubation. Something tender is being protected. Something real is taking root.

I have deep respect for that underground season.

And I also know this: If you fall in a manhole, do not decorate it. Get out and move on. Not with shame. Not with hustle-culture urgency. But with the honest recognition that the underground season has its time — and so does the surface.
